Privacy policy
Effective 1 November 2026
This policy explains what information Maximum Resonance LLC ("we", "us") collects through this website and through the Maximum Resonance app, how it's used, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to provide the service. We don't sell personal information, we don't show advertising, and we don't track you across other websites or apps.
This website
- The website uses no third-party analytics or tracking cookies. Cookies are used only as needed to operate the pages you view, such as signing in and navigating the site.
- Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
- If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can reply and help.
The app
The app requires an account, which keeps your content available across your devices.
- Your account. When you sign in with Apple, Google or your email address, we receive an identifier for your account and, where you share it, your email address. Sign in with Apple lets you hide your address from us. If you choose to sign in across more than one of the above methods, your account is linked to each of the methods you use.
- Your content. Content that you create or add in the app (for example, music files, recordings, and your settings) is stored on your devices and synced through our servers so it's available on each of your devices. It's sent over encrypted connections and kept private to your account, except for any content you explicitly make available for sharing with others. We don't look at your information except as necessary to diagnose and resolve problems, comply with legal or governmental requirements, or as otherwise necessary for operating the business. Our software, both in the app itself and our servers, may inspect and process your files to provide services to you, such as re-encoding, audio tagging, matching and grouping files, analyzing/generating musical structure, and identifying metadata (composer, title, tempo, etc.).
- Microphone. The app uses the microphone, with your permission, to listen to your playing. Audio is analyzed on your device. It's stored only when you choose to make a recording.
- Feedback and crash reports. If you choose to send feedback or a crash report from the app, we receive what you write, an optional picture of the screen, and technical details (the app's version, your device's model and operating system, and recent diagnostic logs). They're sent only when you choose to send them. We may use feedback you share with us to improve the app, including the models it uses to recognize music and its details.
- Feedback on app capabilities. If you choose to enable it, the app may report problems with capabilities you utilize, such as the app's grouping of scores/music, the metadata it identifies, or other similar issues, and we may use such data to make improvements to the app.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run the service, such as application hosting (Render), database (Neon), file storage and website hosting (Cloudflare), email (Resend, Google Workspace). We attempt to minimize the amount of information accessible by our providers, but they may be capable of accessing your information through normal business operations. For example, emails we send to you will be sent through and readable by our email service provider's systems, your own email hosting provider, and any intermediate systems involved in email routing. Sign-in through Apple or Google is handled by those companies under their own privacy policies.
Wherever possible, we process your data on your own device (such as through on-device machine learning models) rather than on our servers. Data synced through our servers is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your account and content while your account exists. You may delete your account at any time in the app (Settings, then Account, then Delete account), which deletes your account and its content from our servers. We retain backups for up to 365 days; in the event of a restoration from backup, we exclude information from deleted accounts from that restore process.
Children
The app and this website aren't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information via the app or website, you may delete such content in the app itself, or by deleting your account. If you have any questions or require assistance, please contact us via the link below.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date above. If a change is significant and affects your use of the app, we'll tell you in the app.
Other rights
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law. To request a copy of your information, or its correction or deletion, write to us at [email protected].
